Safety Engineer Consultant

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor high‑risk activities such as working at heights, hot work, confined spaces, lifting operations, etc.
• Ensure all operations comply with company safety policies, government regulations, and industry best practices.
• Observe and report unsafe acts/conditions and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform risk assessments and implement control measures to minimize hazards.
• Assist in developing Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE training programs for employees and contractors.
• Educate staff on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and hazard reporting.

• Lead emergency response activities and ensure timely incident reporting and documentation.
• Conduct incident/accident investigations and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis.

• Perform routine site inspections, safety audits, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
• Ensure proper maintenance of safety equipment and verify the condition of tools and machinery.

• Maintain HSE documentation including incident records, PTWs, inspection logs, and training registers.
• Prepare periodic safety performance reports for management review.

• NEBOSH IGC (Mandatory).
• Additional certifications such as IOSH, OSHA, OSHAD, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor are an advantage.

• 5+ years of experience

• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of UAE local safety regulations and industry standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office and safety management systems.
