KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

what are the overall accountabilities for this position

• Prepare, review, and modify shop drawings, calculations, and material submissions for  / Architectural works (or Civil / MEP depending on discipline).
• Ensure design deliverables comply with project requirements, local codes, and authority regulations.
• Coordinate with client / consultants to obtain timely design approvals.

• Implement performance management systems to effectively track progress and ensure alignment with defined targets and objectives.
• Identify and address performance issues promptly, taking appropriate corrective actions when needed.

• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers, coordinators and draftsmen.
• Review shop drawings, technical submissions, and material submittals for compliance with design intent and project documents.
• Support the construction team by resolving design-related technical queries.

• Coordinate with external consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to align design requirements.
• Ensure timely submission and approval of drawings and documents by clients and authorities.
• Participate in value engineering and design optimization to achieve cost-effective solutions.

• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Coordinate design efforts to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

• Ensure accuracy and quality control of all design documents.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, and design correspondences.
• Support preparation of as-built drawings and handover documentation.

• Precise and On Time submission of any type of documents/reports/data.
• Complete tasks efficiently and stay within budget as part of your job responsibilities

• Provide input to other departments or parties as needed on time.

• Establish, Coordinate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration.
• Implement performance management systems to effectively track progress and ensure alignment with defined targets and objectives.
• Prepare and review design drawings, BOQs, calculations, and reports.
• Check and verify drawings prepared by engineers, coordinators and draftsmen.
• Attend design and coordination meetings with consultants, clients, and site teams.
• Ensure design documents are in compliance with applicable codes and authority requirements.
• Provide solutions to resolve site’s technical issues related to design.
• Prepare material submittals and review method statements related to engineering scope.
• Support authority submissions, follow-ups, and obtain necessary approvals.
• Ensure proper document control and version management of all design outputs.
• Maintain coordination logs and follow up on design RFIs and approvals.

Support preparation of shop drawings and as-built documentation for project close-out.
