- Supervise all lifting operations in accordance with the approved lifting plan and method statement.
- Ensure that lifting equipment and accessories are certified, properly inspected, and maintained.
- Work closely with crane operators, riggers, and signalers to ensure safe execution of lifts.
- Conduct site assessments and pre‑lift meetings to identify risks and implement control measures.
- Verify the competency and certification of all personnel involved in lifting operations.
- Coordinate with site engineers, HSE officers, and PMV team to plan lifting schedules and equipment needs.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards (e.g., LOLER, BS 7121), and company safety policies.
- Investigate lifting‑related incidents or near misses and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Maintain records of all lifting activities, permits, and equipment certifications.
- Deliver toolbox talks and lifting safety briefings to site personnel.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field (preferred).
- Certified Lifting Supervisor (e.g., from recognized authority or training provider).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in lifting operations, preferably within the PMV or construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of cranes, rigging gear, lifting accessories, and relevant safety standards.
- Experience in reading and interpreting lifting plans, load charts, and risk assessments.
