Data Center Facility Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) - UAE National Only, AWS
AWS has an exciting Data Center Operations Engineer opportunity in Dubai available for a UAE national with family book.
Key Job Responsibilities Safety- Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world‑class safety culture.
- Remediate safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams.
- Own safety initiatives and projects to foster a strong safety culture.
- Support electrical and mechanical equipment, including UPSs, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, ATSs, Diesel Generators, Chillers, HVAC, Exhaust Fans, VFDs, and Transformers.
- Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical, emergency generator, HVAC and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
- Troubleshoot facility and rack‑level events within internal SLAs.
- Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities.
- Work rotational shifts of 4 days of 12‑hour shifts (2 days followed by 2 nights), and 4 days off (including nights, weekends and holidays) / Respond to on‑call rotation reaction to off‑duty emergency calls.
- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log‑taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.).
- Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance.
- Perform the following tasks: occasionally move objects/materials (within weight limits and regulations); work in outdoor weather conditions; work in noisy environments; work at heights and from ladders.

Basic Qualifications- UAE National with family book
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, controls) and key electrical competencies and theory
- Experience in operations of critical facilities with in‑depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems
- Experience working in a data center or mission‑critical environment
