- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems and installations, including wiring, lighting, grounding, switch gear, panels, and conduits.
- Ensure all materials, equipment, and workmanship comply with project specifications and relevant electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC, and local regulations).
- Review and assess electrical shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Witness and document the execution of electrical tests, including insulation resistance, continuity, grounding, and functional performance tests.
- Identify any deviations from standards or specifications and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as necessary.
- Supervise the contractor’s work to confirm compliance with safety protocols and applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve site-related issues promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive inspection records and prepare detailed daily and weekly inspection reports, utilizing platforms such as Aconex and other paperless documentation systems.
- Support the final inspection and handover processes by participating in punch list activities and snagging inspections.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in electrical inspection, preferably on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and practices.
- Certification as an Electrical Inspector (e.g., from NFPA, ICC, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and technical documents.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and quality management systems (ISO 9001, OSHA, etc.).
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- May work independently or as part of a larger inspection or engineering team.
- Must follow strict safety protocols and wear protective gear when necessary.
