The Cabin & Safety Workshop maintains the interior furnishings, seats, and safety equipment on Emirates aircraft. They are divided into several specialized areas.
Job Description- Evacuation and Safety Workshop
:
Tests, repairs, and overhauls emergency equipment like escape slides, life jackets, HST, oxygen cylinders and fire extinguishers for the A380, A350, and B777 fleets. - Cabin Workshops
:
Repair and overhaul passenger seats, galleys, lavatories, carpets and other cabin and cargo components, including leather and upholstery repair for all Emirates fleets – A319, A380, A350 and B777. - Line & Base Heavy Support Group
:
Repairs and overhauls cabin components for all Emirates fleets – A319, A380, A350 and B777. - Workshop Technician is responsible for carrying out maintenance/calibration tasks on Emirates and third‑party aircraft components, tools, and equipment in accordance with company procedures and regulations. The job holder works as part of a team under the direction and guidance of an assigned supervisor/engineer.
- Carry out routine component/tools servicing and calibration/maintenance/modification and approved structural repairs compliant to manufacturer procedures while observing all safety procedures.
- Complete any component/tools maintenance and other tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor/engineer, including understanding Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), Standard Practice Manual (SPM), Quality Manual ISO/IEC 17025 or other approved documentation.
- Assist supervisor/engineer in troubleshooting, defect rectifications and carrying out modifications while following job cards.
- Ensure all work locations are kept clean and maintain excellent housekeeping. Promote a safety culture to minimise accidents and highlight deficiencies that can lead to accidents.
- Ensure prompt attendance to all allocated tasks to reduce TAT and avoid operational delays/disruptions. Communicate any aircraft/component/structural defects found to the supervisor/engineer expediently and ensure proper handover.
- Perform testing, verification, and services to monitor, assist and support overhaul, repair, refurbishment, inspection, and calibration tasks required per special procedures and manuals.
- Degree in Engineering in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Avionics, Electronic or Tech Engineering OR Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence OR Engineering Apprenticeship.
- 5+ years of post‑qualification experience in aviation, with at least 2 years in a workshop environment (e.g., W&B, Avionics, Cabin, Structures, Calibration, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Fuel & Oil, Landing Gear).
