Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage current and future projects and ensure that financial targets of the project are met and exceeded, develop existing relationships with key clients and deliver fire safety engineering solutions.
  • Provide technical solutions to clients, and oversee and peer‑review work of engineering staff.
  • Maintain a high level of professional awareness of technical matters in the fire industry, assimilate and synthesize developing technical issues and provide updates and briefings as required.
  • Guide our fire engineering professionals, along with advising and delivering complex solutions to large construction engineering projects within leading consultancies.
  • Drive technical excellence, team engagement, and support the development of key clients in this discipline.
  • Serve as the expert point of call for our clients.
  • Lead discussions with the design team, client, and Civil Defence.
  • Attend industry conferences to network and embrace industry trends and best practices.
  • Supervise and train junior engineers.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A background in fire engineering preferably within a consultancy environment.
  • Experience in tunnel fire engineering, including analysis, ventilation, structural fire resistance, suppression systems, fuel loading controls, communication, evacuation, and firefighter intervention.
  • Minimum 8 years industry experience.
  • Working experience in the Middle East region.
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher within fire engineering.
  • Ideally working toward becoming a Chartered engineer.
  • The ability to undertake work independently.
  • The ability and desire to mentor and manage young professionals.
