We are hiring! The Project Engineer - Electrical is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring all electrical works of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, authority regulations, quality standards, and project schedules. The role requires close coordination with internal teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors to achieve successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee electrical works including LV/MV systems, power distribution, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV systems.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents.
- Plan project activities, manpower deployment, and material requirements in line with project schedules.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and local authorities (DEWA/ADDC/SEWA, etc.) for inspections and approvals.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, authority regulations, and international standards.
- Lead and coordinate site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and technicians.
- Conduct site meetings and prepare progress reports, technical clarifications, and correspondence.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies and QA/QC procedures.
- Control project costs, minimize wastage, and support quantity verification and variations.
- Support testing, commissioning, and final handover of electrical systems.
- Review as-built drawings and close-out documentation.
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in MEP contracting projects.
- Proven experience in residential, commercial, high-rise, or mixed-use developments.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and MEP coordination.
- Excellent understanding of UAE authority requirements (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, etc.).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and basic planning tools.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
