HSE Officer (3PL & Plastic Manufacturing Division)
Department:
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE). Reporting To:
General Manager (MDs Office).
Location:
JAFZA, DUBAI, UAE.
Industry: 3PL & Jerry Can Plastic Manufacturing.
To develop, implement, and monitor health, safety, and environmental systems, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and promoting a culture of safety and sustainability across the group’s logistics and manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and systems in compliance with national regulations and group standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits across warehouses, transport operations, and manufacturing facilities.
- Drive awareness, training, and behavioral safety programs among staff and contractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near‑misses; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure environmental management in areas like waste disposal, emissions, energy, and plastic usage/recycling.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure safe equipment and facility conditions.
- Prepare HSE reports and maintain documentation for audits and certifications (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.).
- % of compliance with statutory regulations (≥ 98%)
- Number of non‑compliance findings during audits (≤ 2 per audit)
- % of completed risk assessments and HIRA** (≥ 100%)
- % of employees trained as per annual plan (≥ 95%)
- Number of toolbox talks and safety drills conducted per month (≥
4) - HSE competency test pass rate (≥ 90%)
- Waste segregation & disposal compliance rate (≥ 98%)
- % reduction in plastic waste generation (≥ 10% YoY)
- % of recycling/reuse achieved for plastic scrap (≥ 80%)
- Energy & water usage within benchmark levels
- Number of internal HSE audits conducted as per schedule (100%)
- % of audit findings closed on time (≥ 95%)
- Submission of monthly HSE reports within due date (100%)
- Number of improvement projects implemented per year (≥
3)
- Education: Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety.
- Certifications: NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA certification preferred.
- Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in 3PL, logistics, or plastic manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and EMS systems.
- Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HSE reporting tools.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and compliance orientation.
- Proactive and safety-driven mindset.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong documentation and reporting discipline.
- Ethical, disciplined, and result-oriented approach.
