Job Description
As a Structural Design Engineer, you will be an integral part of our dynamic engineering team, focusing on the design and analysis of structures that support essential infrastructural projects. You will synthesize technical data, prioritize safety and innovation, and seamlessly integrate modern technology into your design strategies. Your role involves working closely with architects, project managers, and contractors, ensuring that all structural elements comply with the latest codes and regulations.
You will utilize your expertise in structural analysis and design software to create safe and efficient structures. This position demands a detail‑oriented professional with strong analytical skills, capable of managing multiple projects while maintaining a vision for sustainability and creativity in engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with architects and project managers to ensure design feasibility and compliance.
- Develop detailed structural designs and documentation using engineering software.
- Perform structural analysis to determine safety and stability of designs under load.
- Ensure all designs meet local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
- Provide professional recommendations for existing structural modifications and upgrades.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and solve any structural issues.
- Liaise with construction teams to communicate design goals and resolve problems.
- Prepare reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders to outline design plans.
- Review project specifications and engineering plans for technical accuracy and compliance.
- Contribute to the continual development of departmental design processes and standards.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in structural engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in structural design and analysis software, such as STAAD or SAP
2000. - Strong understanding of building codes, construction standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) certification highly preferred but not mandatory.
