Senior Estimator; Shipyard

The role will be based in Bahrain, only apply if you are willing to relocate

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in ship repair and marine engineering projects
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing technical specifications, and collaborating with project teams to ensure competitive and profitable bids. This role requires in-depth knowledge of ship repair processes, dry-docking, hull and machinery work, and compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Study technically and commercially the repair/job specification and seek assistance from other departments.
• Estimate and prepare tenders using the tendering system or manually.
• Review Customer’s terms and conditions and highlight any inconsistencies with Yard’s General terms and conditions.
• Calculation of total cost, man-hours, etc. related to individual tenders.
• Contract review to be completed and updated at all stages.
• Ensure the Yard’s Quality Assurance System is followed.
• Presentation of the tender analysis to Management for approval.
• Close contact with Customers and Agents
• Discuss work specification with concerned service and Project Manager (SR), if required.
• Attend vessel’s inspection abroad or at anchorages.

• Holder of a University/Technical Degree or equivalent.
• 10 years experience in Ship Repair and Management.
