FPS Site Supervision & Commissioning Engineer

Responsibilities- Supervise the FPS work of the assigned site according to approved drawings and materials, ensuring execution aligns with DEWA specifications and scope of work.
- Attend progress meetings with contractors/consultants and SME’s as required.
- Coordinate with DEWA internal departments and respond to their requests to address and close requirements and queries; coordinate with contractors/consultants to ensure proper completion of project work.
- Issue site notes and follow up to ensure all site notes are closed according to DEWA's requirements.
- Validate receipt of dispatched FPS equipment and material by confirming compliance to pre‑requisites, carrying out site inspection, and issuing a safe receipt report based on set criteria.
- Validate the site installation of FPS by confirming compliance to pre‑requisites and supervising installation activities in line with installation checklists.
- Review FPS staff submissions from contractors or consultants; conduct interviews and issue approvals for candidates.
- Confirm compliance of pre‑requisites and witness the site testing activities of FPS.
- Validate received materials of FPS according to verification checklists and material approval form.
- Validate approved design drawings, generate marked‑up drawings, review and approve FPS as‑built drawings prior to handing over to the custodian in line with applicable checklists.
- Provide performance feedback and lessons learned on projects; submit CATS reports and confirm FPS activities in SAP module in line with assigned tasks and FPS work progress at site.
- Issue FPS clearance for outage and energization; hand over FPS works to custodian.
- Respond promptly to all emergency situations involving transmission assets and arrange for restoration of normality within the target limits.
- Ensure non‑disclosure of confidential information to anyone within or outside the Authority during or after employment in DEWA.
- Follow and adhere to the OH&S Management System Manual as per DEWA's safety standards.
- Perform other job‑related duties as required.
- Ensure QA/QC compliance with specifications and requirements for projects to minimize end‑user comments and non‑compliances during commissioning, thereby ensuring customer satisfaction and quality of executed work.
- Continuously innovate and fulfill Corporate Excellence requirements; facilitate, transfer and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics
- Minimum 4 years experience for Bachelor’s degree holders
- Minimum 7 years experience for Diploma holders
- Problem‑solving skills
- Knowledge of international standards
- Proficiency in technical report writing
- Driving licence
