Key Responsibilities Prepare reinforcement shop drawings for high-rise structures including slabs, beams, columns, walls, cores, and foundations. Develop Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) in accordance with approved structural drawings and project specifications. Review structural and IFC drawings to identify discrepancies and raise RFIs when required. Coordinate with structural engineers, site engineers, and QA/QC teams to resolve design and constructability issues. Ensure reinforcement detailing complies with ACI, BS, ASTM, and UAE local authority standards.
Revise drawings based on consultant/client comments and maintain proper revision control. Provide support to site teams for clarification of drawings during construction. Optimize rebar quantities to reduce wastage and improve cost efficiency. Ensure timely submission of drawings in line with project schedules. Maintain proper documentation and records of approved drawings and BBS.
Qualifications & Requirements Education Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Experience Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a Rebar Detailer.
Proven experience in high-rise building projects within the UAE or GCC.Strong understanding of reinforced concrete structures.
Technical Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
Experience with rebar detailing software such as Revit, Tekla, or ASD is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of ACI, BS, and UAE construction standards.
Ability to prepare accurate BBS and quantity take-offs.
