AHU Draftsman UAE

Role Overview

Klima Global is seeking a detail‑oriented AHU Draftsman to produce precise GA and fabrication drawings for our Air Handling Units (AHU/FAHU/ERV). You will convert engineering inputs into production‑ready drawings, BOMs, and cutting lists, ensuring manufacturability, quality, and alignment with project specifications and standards.

Prepare GA (General Arrangement) drawings for AHU/FAHU/ERV, including coil, fan, filter, mixing box, heat‑recovery, and access sections.

Generate cutting lists, part lists, and BOMs for sheet‑metal, insulation, fasteners, accessories, and bought‑out items.

Create exploded views and assembly sequences for shop floor reference; annotate tolerances and fits where required.

Maintain drawing registers and revision control; issue IFC/IFU/As‑Built packs.

• Prepare nameplate/label drawings and hole schedules for CNC/laser punching (DXF where applicable).

Ensure drawings comply with applicable guidelines (e.g.,
Eurovent
, ISO practices) and internal SOPs.

Support site teams with quick sketches, penetrations/openings, and as‑built updates when needed.

2–5 years as an HVAC/AHU draftsman (manufacturing background preferred).

Strong command of AutoCAD (2D) for sheet‑metal detailing; ability to read/interpret P&IDs, schedules, and consultant drawings.

Hands‑on experience preparing fabrication drawings for double‑skin AHUs (paneling, frames, doors, base).

Knowledge of sheet‑metal practices (bends, K‑factors, allowances), standard fasteners, sealing, and insulation.

Familiar with BOM creation
, revision control, and drawing standards (layers, line weights, title blocks).

Understanding of HVAC components
: fans, coils, filters, dampers, attenuators, motors, drives.

Proficient in MS Excel for cutting lists and take‑offs.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines.

Exposure to 3D (Inventor/Solid Works) for assemblies and exploded views.

Revit (Family creation) basics for BIM deliverables.

Familiarity with Eurovent/ISO documentation, QA checklists, and factory test forms.

Experience with
heat‑recovery units (plate/rotary) and hygienic AHU details.

UAE/GCC project exposure;
Arabic reading basics a plus.

Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Production, or Drafting (or equivalent).

Certification/training in AutoCAD
; portfolio of prior AHU/HVAC drawings preferred.
