, responsible for leading procurement activities across project development, construction, and operations. The role combines strategic procurement oversight with direct ownership of sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier management in a lean, high-accountability environment. The position plays a critical role in enabling project delivery, managing risk, and optimising long-term project economics across solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS), with exposure to hybrid and energy efficiency solutions

RoleScope And
Key Responsibilities Procurement strategy & governance
- Establish and execute procurement frameworks aligned with project development, execution, and long-term asset ownership.
- Ensure procurement activities support disciplined approvals, cost certainty, and risk management.
- Develop fit-for-purpose procurement tools, templates, and contracting approaches.
- Act as principal buyer for major equipment and service packages, including solar PV, BESS, EPC-related scopes, and O&M services.
- Lead supplier pre-qualification, tendering, evaluation, and selection processes.
- Build and manage strong supplier relationships while maintaining competitive tension.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, warranties, performance guarantees, and delivery schedules.
- Drive cost optimisation and total cost of ownership analysis.
- Work closely with finance and project stakeholders to ensure procurement decisions support project returns and cashflow.
- Partner closely with engineering, projects, and legal teams to ensure procurement decisions are technically sound and commercially robust.
- Support resolution of procurement-related risks, delays, or non-conformance issues.
- Monitor supplier markets, pricing trends, and technology developments in the GCC and relevant global hubs.
- Apply lessons learned to continuously strengthen procurement practices.
- 10+ years’ procurement experience within solar PV and/or BESS and exposure to hybrid and energy efficiency solutions.
- Proven experience operating in the GCC renewable energy market.
- Background within a renewable energy developer (IPP) or reputable EPC.
- Experience acting as a principal buyer with strong negotiation capability.
- Comfortable operating independently in a lean, fast-growing environment.
- Exposure to both developer and EPC environments.
- Experience supporting long-term asset ownership and O&M considerations.
