Job: Science Lead Practitioner

Employer: International School - The School of Research Science, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Start date: 17th August 2026

Annual Tax‑Free Salary: £34,500 - £40,000 + Benefits including housing, flight allowance, medical and gratuity (worth over £15,000)

Contract: Full-time, fixed term for 2 years

Aston Education is working with The School of Research Science, a thriving and vibrant international school in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. They are looking for a full‑time Science Lead Practitioner to start in August 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent Teacher of Science or a middle leader to develop their leadership skills in supporting colleagues in strengthening their practice.

Responsibilities:

As a Science Lead Practitioner, you’ll work across KS3, KS4 and KS5 and provide high‑quality coaching and subject‑specific CPD to Science teachers to achieve sustained improvements in teaching and learning.

You’ll implement and monitor strategies to raise the achievement of targeted Science students and act as a ‘champion’ for SEND students.

You’ll teach Science and Biology, Chemistry or Physics across KS3, KS4 and KS5 and prepare the students for IGCSE and A level exams.

Qualifications:
  • PGCE and QTS / QTLS
  • Degree in Science or related field
  • Successful UK teaching experience in Science at secondary school level
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Science
  • Proven track record of improving teaching and learning
  • Commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and community
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
