The Assistant Professor in Innovation and Digital Health will contribute to the academic, research, and translational innovation mission of the entity's Innovations.
The role focuses on advancing education, research, and applied innovation in:
- Digital health
- Health technology
- Artificial intelligence in healthcare
- Digitally enabled care models
The position supports the development of an integrated ecosystem linking academia, clinical operations, research, industry collaboration, and entrepreneurship, aligned with the entity's strategic priorities.
1. Academic Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in digital health and innovation.
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic program design.
- Supervise undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students (dissertations and research projects).
- Participate in academic advising, mentorship, and assessment processes.
- Establish and sustain an independent research program in digital health, AI in healthcare, health systems transformation, or related fields.
- Secure competitive research funding (national and international).
- Publish in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in interdisciplinary research initiatives across clinical, data science, biomedical engineering, and health systems.
- Translate research outputs into practical solutions (pilots, patents, startups, scalable digital health implementations).
- Contribute to the strategic development of the entity's Innovations as a commercialization and partnership platform.
- Collaborate with clinical departments to design and assess digital health interventions.
- Engage with industry, government, and regulatory stakeholders to support innovation pilots and transformation initiatives.
- Participate in academic committees and governance activities.
- Represent the entity at conferences and expert panels.
- Contribute to executive education and professional development programs.
- Maintain professional competence and thought leadership in digital health and innovation policy.
PhD (or equivalent) in one of the following fields:
- Digital Health/Bio Design/Health Informatics/Biomedical Engineering/Data Science/Artificial Intelligence/Health Systems/Public Health/or closely related field
- Evidence of teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Experience in grant writing and securing research funding.
Minimum 10 years of relevant postdoctoral academic, research, or industry experience in digital health or healthcare innovation.
