Founded in 1989, Horizon English School (HES) is one of the longest standing British schools in Dubai. Nestled in the heart of Jumeirah, Horizon is home to an international community of over 1000 children and almost 200 colleagues. Our school has been rated as outstanding by the KHDA and BSO for several years and is accredited with BSME (British Schools in the Middle East).

As a Key Stage 1 Class Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring, supporting, and challenging young learners to reach their full potential. You will bring creativity, enthusiasm, and a deep understanding of how children in KS1 learn best. The successful candidate will have strong experience in delivering the National Curriculum for England, fostering curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning through engaging and differentiated teaching.
You will also demonstrate a growth mindset, commitment to continuous professional development, and the ability to contribute positively to our collaborative school community.
- Bachelors of Education and PGCE or international equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
- Teaching Experience in Y1-Y2.
- Teaching Experience in a UK setting or renowned British Curriculum / international school.
- Experience of adding value to a reputable educational organisation.
- Experience of working as a team member in a school environment.

Interviews will take place online and in person. Local candidates will be interviewed in school and will be asked to carry out a lesson observation prior to interview. For overseas candidates, the interview will be online and a task will be set to showcase your outstanding teaching.
