Assistant​/Associate Professor - Systems Engineering

The College of Technological Innovation at Zayed University seeks qualified candidates for multiple full-time, multi-year faculty positions beginning in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027. These positions are for the ranks of assistant and associate professor in the following areas:
Intelligent Systems, Intelligent Data-driven Systems, Autonomous Systems, Drones and Robotics Technologies, Mechatronic Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Systems, Cyber-Physical Systems, Networks of Things, and other related fields.

The college seeks dynamic and versatile faculty members to deliver high-quality instruction across a range of undergraduate engineering courses such as:
Engineering Mechanics, Mechatronic Systems, Digital Electronics, Digital Systems Design, Digital Systems Communication & integration, Algorithms and Programming for Engineers, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Dynamic Control Systems, Autonomous Systems, Drones and Robotics, Engineering Systems Optimization, Simulation Modeling & Analysis, and Engineering Drawing & Solid Modeling.

The College of Technological Innovation (CTI) seeks to produce graduates recognized by business, government, and educational institutions in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Gulf Region, and the rest of the world. It also seeks to develop a strong applied research capacity in emerging technologies to meet the needs of the UAE and the Gulf region. The CTI academic programs are practical, competency-based, and designed to prepare students for successful careers in Technology fields.

At the undergraduate level, CTI offers three bachelor’s degrees:
Information Systems Engineering, Information Systems and Technology Management, and Information Technology. At the graduate level, CTI offers two Master’s degrees:
Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Master of Science in Digital Transformation and Innovation. Currently, CTI has 65+ full-time faculty and 2000+ students seeking majors in the College on its Abu Dhabi and Dubai campuses.

• Ph.D. in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a closely related discipline specializing in one of the above mentioned areas. The PhD must be from an internationally accredited university, and is, or can be, recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education.
• The candidate should demonstrate an excellent research record in intelligent systems, with the potential to publish in leading academic journals.
• A demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, student mentorship, and service, and the ability to develop curriculum at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
• Recent Ph.D. graduates may be considered if they demonstrate a potential for excellence in teaching and research.
