The Principal and the Recruitment Team will be travelling to London in March and April to hold face to face interviews.

This is an excellent opportunity to meet senior leadership in person and learn more about our school and community.

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry based lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning.
• Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that nurtures individual strengths and learning styles.
• Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including EAL, gifted and students requiring additional support.
• Integrate technology and innovative approaches to enhance student learning and engagement.
• Assess, record, and communicate student progress effectively, using data to inform teaching and personalised support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and refine IB aligned curriculum plans, resources, and assessments.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through co curricular activities, events, and community initiatives.
• Build positive relationships with parents and the wider school community to support student growth and wellbeing.
• Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflection to continuously enhance teaching practice.
• Uphold the GEMS values and the IB Learner Profile in all aspects of school life.

The ideal candidate will have

• A certified professional teaching qualification at degree level, such as BEd, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent in subject specialism.
• A minimum of 3 years of solid and demonstrable experience teaching, ideally within an IB curriculum school (preferred but not essential).
• Or have strong A Level experience (highly valued for Secondary roles).
• Are passionate, reflective practitioners who value collaboration and student centred learning.
• A passion for inspiring young learners through innovative and inquiry based teaching.
• The vision, energy, commitment and educational philosophy to contribute to the continued success of a leading flagship GEMS school with an international student body.
• A desire to grow professionally and work within a collaborative, forward thinking community.
