Theoretical Instructor

Main Objective of Role

To manage the theoretical training section of the academy, ensuring that cadets are consistently delivered high-quality training, compliant with regulations, and aligned with organisational goals, by developing instructor training programs, monitoring student performance, managing instructional resources, and proposing curriculum improvements.

• Oversee and conduct daily operations of theoretical knowledge training, ensuring instructional quality and regulatory compliance.
• Analyse cadet performance data to identify and address areas needing improvement.
• Collaborate with instructors to integrate theoretical and practical learning effectively.
• Maintain accurate training and performance records for both students and instructors.
• Stay current with developments in aviation education, regulations, and instructional techniques.
• Introduce and apply modern teaching tools and technologies to enhance learning.
• Create and update course materials in line with standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain the training reference library per operational guidelines.
• Uphold training and safety standards as required by flydubai policy and regulatory authorities.
• Coordinate health and safety induction briefings with the Safety department.
• Ensure that theory classes are delivered consistently with an annual standardisation programme.
• Create training plans, maintain assessment systems to maintain quality.
• Monitor cadet progress and initiate remedial action if performance concerns arise.
• Recommend syllabus enhancements to improve training effectiveness.
• Foster and communicate a strong safety culture within the department.

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years experience)
• Bachelor’s degree in aviation, education, or a related field is preferred.
• Fluent in English (other languages an advantage).
• Minimum three years as a theoretical instructor.
• Commercial Pilot License (CPL).

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
