Foundation Stage Teacher, Primary School

Overview

The Arbor School is seeking an enthusiastic, nurturing, and reflective Foundation Stage Teacher to join our dynamic Early Years team. The successful candidate will create a warm, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where young children feel safe, curious, and inspired to explore the world around them. Through developmentally appropriate practice and an inquiry-driven approach, the Foundation Stage Teacher will plan, deliver, and assess high-quality learning experiences aligned with the EYFS framework.

They will build strong relationships with children and families, establishing a supportive classroom culture in which every child is known, valued, and encouraged to flourish socially, emotionally, and academically. The ideal candidate is committed to celebrating the uniqueness of every learner; skilled at promoting early language, literacy, and numeracy; and passionate about learning through play. They will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity of provision, contribute to whole-school initiatives, and uphold the school’s mission, values, and safeguarding expectations.

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality learning experiences aligned with the EYFS framework using developmentally appropriate practices and an inquiry-driven approach.
• Build strong relationships with children and families to establish a supportive classroom culture where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to flourish socially, emotionally, and academically.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity of provision, contribute to whole-school initiatives, and uphold the school’s mission, values, and safeguarding expectations.
• Promote early language, literacy, and numeracy through play-based and exploratory learning experiences.
• Foster an inclusive learning environment that celebrates the uniqueness of each learner.

• Native-level English language skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching EYFS or Key Stage 1 in British schools
• A track record of outstanding teaching and learning, and an ability to create a caring and nurturing classroom environment

Remuneration: A competitive tax-free compensation package will be provided in accordance with the School's policy and UAE labour law regulations.
