RAK Academy are looking for a positive, driven, and inspirational English teacher to join a large successful and vibrant English department. English is a Core subject and is taught from Grades 6 to 12. In Grades 9 and 10 English and English Literature are taught to all students. In Grades 11 and 12 English and English Literature are offered as subject options at A-Level.

English Literature is also a compulsory Group 1 subject as part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme.

• Bachelor’s degree in English language / English Literature.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have an excellent understanding of teaching and learning.
• Be highly proficient in the use of technology to support teaching and learning.
• Engage, motivate and support students.
• Be a reflective practitioner with the ability to think creatively and innovate.
• Be a positive and enthusiastic member of staff and have a growth mindset.
• Be willing to be fully involved in extra-curricular activities.
• Have excellent communications skills.
• Experience of teaching GCSE / IGCSE / A-Level courses (Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply

• Experience of teaching English for the IB Diploma.
• Experience of using Google suite, e.g., Google classroom.
• Have a proven record of increasing student outcomes.
