Description

Nibras International School is looking for an Inclusion Teacher to join the team in August 2026. The school is committed to providing amazing learning experiences so that every pupil makes as much progress as possible. • Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
• Establish a safe and stimulating environment for pupils, rooted in mutual respect
• Set goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds, abilities and dispositions
• Demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour expected of pupils
• Promote positive progress and outcomes with/for pupils through: accountability of attainment, progress and outcomes; awareness of pupils’ capabilities and prior knowledge; planning to build on these
• Guidance of pupils to reflect on their progress and emerging needs
• Knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn and how this impacts teaching
• Encourage pupils to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study
• Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge; address misunderstandings; promote high standards of literacy and language
• If teaching early reading, demonstrate understanding of systematic synthetic phonics; if teaching early mathematics, demonstrate appropriate strategies
• Plan and teach well-structured lessons; impart knowledge and develop understanding; promote a love of learning
• Set homework when appropriate and plan other activities to consolidate and extend knowledge
• Reflect on the effectiveness of lessons and approaches to teaching
• Contribute to the design and provision of an engaging curriculum
• Differentiate to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
• Understand barriers to learning and adapt teaching to support pupils at different development stages
• Promote high standards of assessment: formative and summative, use data to monitor progress and plan next steps; provide feedback
• Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment with clear rules and routines
• Maintain good relationships with pupils and exercise appropriate authority

• Represent areas of knowledge, understanding and skills to students
• Lead by example with integrity, equality of opportunity and compassion
• Engage and motivate students to achieve beyond expectations
• Use subject knowledge and interpersonal skills to enable amazing learning
• Plan lessons considering individual learning needs and styles
• Encourage all students to become lifelong learners
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and contribute to school improvement
• Plan and deliver learning opportunities to enrich the curriculum
• Co-operate with colleagues on discipline and safeguarding; protect students from abuse, bullying and corporal punishment
• Communicate with parents about attainment and progress

• Plan and prepare schemes of work and complete planning documentation
• Teach effectively, considering all students’ needs
• Set and mark work for students in school, online and at home
• Promote students’ intellectual, moral, spiritual, cultural, physical and personal development
• Keep records and provide guidance on educational and related matters
• Participate in school development and promote best practice

• Assess, record and report on student development and attainment
• Contribute to assessments, reports and references
• Guide students to set targets and provide feedback to support learning

• Keep under review teaching methods and programmes of work
• Be proactive and take accountability for own development
• Participate in arrangements for further training and professional development

• Collaborate on the preparation and development of courses, teaching materials and assessment
• Take responsibility for specific subjects
• Embed UAE heritage and culture within the curriculum
