Job DescriptionAt GEMS School of Research and Innovation, we provide a seamless educational journey from Pre‑Prep + Prep to Sixth Form, enhanced by cutting‑edge technology and a forward‑thinking curriculum. In the Pre‑Prep + Prep stages, we prioritise personalised learning through gamification and advanced technologies, alongside a strong emphasis on science, computing, reading, writing, and the arts. Responsibilities
- Deliver an innovative, research‑informed curriculum that develops technical proficiency, creativity, and performance artistry.
- Utilise specialist resources, state‑of‑the‑art facilities, and industry partnerships to foster students’ physical expression, choreography skills, and appreciation of diverse dance forms.
- Facilitate inquiry‑based learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and real‑world experiences to build confidence, resilience, and a strong foundation for further study or careers in the performing arts and creative industries.
- Hold a BEd or Bachelor’s degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent.
- Master’s degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Proven experience of teaching Dance from KS1 and above.
- Willingness to collaborate and share outstanding practice.
- Growth mindset and reflective, solution‑focused approach.
- Creative and enthusiastic teaching style.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with colleagues, students and parents.
- Proven track record of providing outstanding learning & teaching.
