Position: Secondary Mathematics Teacher (IGCSE/AS Level)
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated mathematics lessons aligned with the National Curriculum of England.Use a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to support student learning.Assess student progress through formal and informal methods, including homework, tests, quizzes, and projects.Provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians regarding academic performance.Maintain a well-managed and positive classroom environment that supports student engagement and achievement.Support students’ individual learning needs through tailored instruction and interventions.Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and professional development activities.Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-curricular links and promote STEM initiatives.Prepare students for internal and external examinations and contribute to exam administration where needed.Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, progress, and grades.Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and extracurricular activities as required.Uphold the school’s values, policies, and safeguarding responsibilities.Show written evidence of planning and preparation on request; establish and maintain records of curriculum and year plans, attendance, teaching resources, assessment plans etc.Ensure the GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct are followed at all times.Teach students assigned according to their individual needs using appropriate teaching strategies that meet student needs and abilities e.g., late-entering students, ESL, low academic ability, gifted and talented etc.Set and mark work. Assess, record and report on the academic development, progress and attainment of students and use assessment to ensure the curriculum meets the individual student’s needs.Display competence in using media and technology in the classroom.Promote the general progress and well-being of students and provide guidance to students on educational matters.Perform other duties as requested by direct & dotted reporting line managers / supervisors.Skills
Qualification:- Bachelor and Masters in Mathematics
- Bachelor's in Education
Requirements:
- Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for teaching and learning.
- Experience with international curriculum (IGCSE/AS/A Level).
