BIM Manager – Lighting Consultancy
Overview
Foundry is an award-winning team of expert lighting design consultants, with studios in London and Dubai, delivering lighting schemes for hospitality, residential, and retail sectors. Our team comes from diverse backgrounds, including architecture, product design, electrical engineering, and theatre, uniting creativity with technical excellence.
Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a BIM Manager,
based in the Dubai studio
. The BIM Manager will oversee Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes, coordinate BIM activities, and work on virtual design tasks. You will lead the implementation and coordination of BIM across all projects, manage external Revit modellers, maintain project standards, and ensure that lighting design intent is integrated within wider project models and workflows. You will oversee BIM delivery from early concept through to construction across UK and international project frameworks (RIBA, SD, DD, IFC).
You will also refine internal BIM standards and support the growth of BIM capability within the studio.
- Oversee the production and delivery of BIM deliverables across all projects, managing coordination from design through to construction (typically RIBA Stages 3–5).
- Ensure full compliance with project-specific BEPs and maintain rigorous QA/QC standards across all model outputs.
- Coordinate with internal lighting designers, external Revit modellers, and consultant teams (MEP, architecture, etc.) to deliver fully integrated BIM packages.
- Liaise with client-side BIM teams to ensure alignment with broader project protocols and timelines.
- Refine internal BIM processes, tools, and templates in support of company-wide digital delivery goals.
You are a highly skilled BIM professional with a strong track record of managing teams and delivering complex Revit models across architecture, interiors, or lighting projects. You combine technical depth with strategic thinking, ensuring BIM processes not only meet project standards but actively enhance design quality and efficiency.
You have led BIM and Revit teams, both in-house and through external partners, providing clear structure, technical guidance, and mentorship. You are confident delegating, reviewing model outputs, setting QA procedures, and resolving coordination challenges across multidisciplinary teams.
You have a strong grasp of scripting and automation tools such as Dynamo or Python to streamline workflows, standardise outputs, and improve data integrity. You are driven by innovation and see BIM as a creative enabler within the design process, not just a coordination tool.
You are fluent in Revit model management, parameter control, and family creation, with the ability to develop project templates and lighting-specific assets that reinforce consistency across projects. You are experienced working to ISO 19650 standards, writing or interpreting BEPs, and engaging directly with client BIM teams to align on digital protocols and deliverables.
You thrive in a collaborative, design-led environment that balances creativity with technical precision, and you are motivated by the opportunity to shape how BIM is implemented and evolved across an ambitious international studio.
