Role OverviewWe are looking for a Social Media Executive with strong content creation and video production skills to build UpStars social presence across digital platforms. This role is hands‑on and execution‑driven, focused on producing high‑quality, engaging content that communicates UpStars vision, product value, and thought leadership.
Primary content channels will be Linked In and Tik Tok. All other social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, X, You Tube Shorts) should complement and amplify messaging from these core channels.
The ideal candidate is comfortable being both strategic and tactical, capable of ideating, producing, editing, and publishing content independently.
Key Responsibilities Content & Social Media Management- Own and execute content strategy primarily for Linked In and Tik Tok
- Repurpose and adapt core content for supporting platforms to ensure message consistency
- Plan and manage a content calendar aligned with brand, growth, and campaign goals
- Handle publishing, scheduling, and basic community engagement
- Conceptualize, shoot, and edit short‑form videos for Linked In and Tik Tok
- Produce product explainers, founder‑led content, feature highlights, and educational clips
- Edit videos using tools such as Cap Cut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
- Add subtitles, transitions, basic motion graphics, and sound enhancements
- Optimize videos for platform‑specific formats, algorithms, and engagement patterns
- Maintain a consistent tone, visual identity, and narrative across all channels
- Track basic performance metrics (reach, engagement, watch time)
- Use insights from Linked In and Tik Tok to refine content direction and formats
- Demonstrated ability to independently produce and edit video content
- Hands‑on experience with Linked In and Tik Tok content formats
- Strong understanding of short‑form storytelling, hooks, and trend adaptation
- Comfortable using smartphones, cameras, lighting, and basic audio setups
- Strong copywriting skills for captions, hooks, and short scripts
- Highly organized, self‑driven, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced startup environment
- Experience with startups, SaaS, HRTech, or EdTech brands
- Basic motion graphics or animation skills
- Familiarity with social media analytics and performance tracking
- Ownership in shaping UpStars social narrative and visual presence
- Creative freedom to experiment with formats and storytelling styles
- Direct collaboration with founders and product teams
- Exposure to AI, hiring, and future‑of‑work content
