Job Title:
Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure
Location:
Dubai
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong exposure to infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, utilities, drainage, and civil works. The role is responsible for cost estimation, contract administration, billing certification, and commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Pre-Contract- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents for infrastructure works.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, and detailed cost estimates.
- Support tender preparation, rate analysis, and contractor bid evaluation.
- Participate in value engineering and cost optimization exercises.
- Verify contractor and subcontractor bills and certify interim payments.
- Conduct site measurements and quantity verification for executed works.
- Manage variations, claims, and extension of time (EOT) documentation.
- Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
- Monitor project costs against budget and prepare cost/value reports.
- Develop cash flow forecasts and cost projections.
- Identify commercial risks and recommend mitigation actions.
- Assist in preparation and agreement of final accounts.
- Liaise with project managers, consultants, contractors, and site engineers.
- Maintain commercial records, documentation, and contract correspondence.
- Ensure adherence to project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Construction Management.
- 5–14 years of experience in infrastructure projects (roads, highways, bridges, utilities, drainage, or marine works).
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, measurement standards, and contract administration.
- Experience in billing certification, variation management, and claims evaluation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software (CostX / Candy / Primavera / Plan Swift).
- Experience with FIDIC or equivalent international contract forms.
- GCC/UAE infrastructure project experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of project planning and cost integration with schedules
