Team

The Infrastructure and Capital Projects (Infra)team focuses on improving return on investment capital and reducing the risks specific to capital projects. The Infra team is built on deep industry sector expertise with a demonstrably differentiated ability to address the most complex business problems and by supporting our owner/operator/contractor clients with the expertise of our deep project, Alvarez & Marsal's ultimate goal is to reduce the level of uncertainty associated with the development and operational costs of your projects, contributing to greater shareholder value drawn from procurement through execution and asset management through different solutions.

How

you will contribute

A&M continues to expand in EMEA, and we are looking to recruit a Director to be based in our Dubai office. Working with some of the industry's brightest and most experienced colleagues, you will:

  • Lead the execution of project work streams, demonstrating expertise and identifying opportunities for process improvement within the assigned tasks.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations with clients, as well as internal managerial and executive stakeholders, showcasing proficiency and confidence in discussing project matters.
  • Collaborate with teams and clients, engaging in negotiations and fostering effective partnerships between leadership.
  • Develop and nurture client relationships, seeking to understand their needs and contributing to their satisfaction.
  • Participate in industry events and associations to broaden professional connections and identify potential growth avenues.
  • Contribute to the identification and pursuit of new business prospects, aligned with the strategic goals of Infra and other Business Units.
  • Drive project analyses, propose actionable plans, and exhibit strong decision-making capabilities.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities while effectively guiding project delivery.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management and business development, ideally within consulting or related industries.
  • 8+ years experience within metals and mining in the Middle East region
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of articulating ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Arabic language skills and public sector large scale projects experience is necessary.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations and develop solutions, emphasizing creativity and critical thinking.
  • Self-starter with strong business acumen and a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interactions with senior management, clients, and colleagues.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ambition and risk appetite.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
