Our client, a leading wholesale bank, is seeking a high-caliber Strategy Consultant to serve as a critical strategic partner. We are looking for a visionary professional with a background in Market Entry, Business Planning, or Wholesale Strategy to help steer the bank’s long-term growth and operational excellence.
The RoleAs the Strategy Consultant, you will be the "Right Hand" to the executive office, translating high-level vision into actionable institutional strategy. You will bridge the gap between the boardroom and execution, overseeing high-stakes projects ranging from international market expansion to the refinement of wholesale banking products. This is a high-visibility role offering an unparalleled vista into the mechanics of a major financial institution.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning & Market Entry:
Lead the development of multi-year business plans and market entry strategies, providing the CEO with data-driven insights to capture new wholesale banking opportunities. - Executive Support & Coordination:
Act as the primary filter for the CEO, ensuring strategic priorities are met and facilitating high-level communication across the bank’s various business lines. - Project Leadership:
Spearhead "special projects" involving cross-departmental teams, ensuring that strategic initiatives (e.g., digital transformation in wholesale or regulatory shifts) are delivered on time. - Institutional Intelligence:
Conduct deep-dive analysis on competitor moves and macroeconomic trends, preparing executive briefings and presentations for Board meetings and external stakeholders.
- Experience:
10–12 years of progressive experience, ideally beginning in a Big 4 strategy or consulting arm (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG). A proven track record in Wholesale Banking strategy, business planning, or market entry is essential. - Strategic Acumen:
Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data into clear, executive-level recommendations. You must possess the "consultant’s toolkit" (structured thinking, MECE frameworks, and rigorous financial modeling). - Stakeholder Management:
Elite interpersonal skills with the gravitas to interact with C-suite executives and board members. - Education:
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business; an MBA from a top-tier global institution or professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are highly preferred.
