The Middle East represents a priority growth region for Kline’s Energy and Chemicals business.
Role OverviewWe are seeking a commercially disciplined Business Development Manager to expand Kline’s Energy and Chemicals business across the Middle East.
Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development for the region, this is a revenue-generating role focused on accelerating product sales while contributing to advisory growth.
The role combines direct commercial ownership with structured deal progression to improve revenue velocity, pipeline visibility, and regional penetration.
This position plays a critical role in strengthening Kline’s commercial footprint in the Middle East.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Revenue Growth
- Develop and grow a defined portfolio of Energy and Chemicals accounts across the Middle East
- Drive sales of syndicated studies, subscription intelligence, and country-level products
- Expand penetration across Tier 2 and Tier 3 companies
- Identify account expansion opportunities within existing clients
- Maintain disciplined pipeline management and forecast integrity
- Engage clients to identify strategic challenges that may require advisory solutions
- Translate client discussions into structured opportunity briefs for advisory leadership
- Support proposal alignment and maintain commercial momentum throughout the sales cycle
- Strengthen product-to-advisory conversion across regional accounts
- Advance both product and advisory opportunities through structured follow-up and internal coordination
- Align subject matter experts prior to client engagements to ensure clarity of scope and positioning
- Reduce cycle time between meeting, proposal, and close
- Maintain accountability for next steps across stakeholders
- Ensure accurate CRM documentation to support regional forecasting
- 4 to 8 years of experience in B2B commercial roles, business development, or market intelligence
- Experience in Energy, Chemicals, downstream petroleum, lubricants, or petrochemicals preferred
- Strong commercial acumen and structured pipeline discipline
- Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders in technically complex industries
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; engineering or technical background preferred
