Job Title
-Purchasing Supervisor
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Supervisor to oversee procurement operations within the industrial refrigeration and engineering sector. The role involves managing supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting project requirements through efficient procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities- Procurement & Supplier Management:
Manage the purchasing process for equipment, materials, and services required for projects and operations. - Source reliable suppliers and negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure consistent supply and service quality.
- Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Purchase Planning & Coordination:
Review purchase requisitions and ensure timely processing of purchase orders. - Coordinate with engineering, project, and operations teams to understand procurement requirements.
- Monitor delivery schedules and ensure materials arrive on time to avoid project delays.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Inventory & Cost Control:
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory. - Implement cost-control measures and identify opportunities for procurement optimization.
- Track material usage and prepare procurement forecasts.
- Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts, and supplier documentation. - Prepare procurement reports including purchase orders, vendor performance, and cost analysis.
- Ensure all procurement documentation complies with company and regulatory standards.
- Team Supervision & Process Improvement:
Supervise procurement staff and ensure smooth day-to-day purchasing operations. - Provide guidance and training to team members on procurement processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and workflows.
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within industrial refrigeration, engineering, or manufacturing sectors.
- Experience in supplier negotiation and contract management.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities
- Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management
- Strong analytical and cost management skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously
