Role DescriptionTo lead, strategize and drive the overall sales, business development and profitability of the Office Furniture & Flooring Division with full P&L responsibility. The role is accountable for revenue growth, market expansion, client relationship management, operational coordination, and building a high-performance team to achieve sustainable division profitability.
- Strategic Leadership & P&L Management
Develop and execute short-term and long-term sales strategies in alignment with overall business objectives.
Own and manage full divisional P&L including revenue, gross margins, operating expenses, and profitability.
Interpret the financial impact of sales strategies on operating profit and adjust plans accordingly.
Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance.
Drive margin improvement through pricing strategy, cost control, and commercial negotiations.
2. Sales & Business DevelopmentIncrease market share across office furniture and flooring product categories.
Identify and develop new business opportunities including corporate clients, contractors, consultants, architects, and real estate developers.
Expand into untapped territories and introduce new product lines aligned with market demand.
Lead key account management initiatives to strengthen long-term partnerships.
Monitor competitor activities, conduct market research, and implement proactive strategies to sustain competitive advantage.
3. Project & Client ManagementMaintain strong, professional relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Oversee project lifecycle from inquiry to completion, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
Ensure smooth coordination between Sales, Design, and Projects teams.
Follow up post-project completion to secure repeat business and referrals.
Resolve cross-functional challenges at divisional level to avoid delays or commercial risks.
4. Design & Operational OversightSupervise design workflow to ensure balanced project allocation and timely output.
Provide strategic input to design concepts, value engineering, budget estimates, and revisions in consultation with clients.
Plan inventory in coordination with supply chain to meet customer demands efficiently.
Establish and maintain structured MIS systems for tracking sales pipeline, project status, margins, and market trends.
5. Commercial & Credit ControlDesign and implement credit control processes including customer credit limits and collection follow-ups.
Ensure timely collections and healthy cash flow for the division.
Review contracts, pricing structures, and commercial terms to mitigate business risks.
6. Team Leadership & Capability DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop Sales, Design, and Project teams.
Set clear KPIs and performance targets aligned with divisional objectives.
Conduct regular performance reviews and sales meetings.
Develop training programs focused on presentation skills, solution selling, new account acquisition, and emerging product lines.
Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Qualifications- Proven expertise at a Management level
- Excellent Commercial, Analytical Skills for market analysis and strategy development
- Ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities within the furniture and flooring industry
- Experience working in the office furniture and flooring or related industries is a must
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
