Account Manager – FinTech
We’re partnering with a fast-growing international payments company to find an experienced Account Manager
to take ownership of a portfolio of merchants and drive long-term growth and retention.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in relationship-led environments, understands the payments/Fin Tech landscape, and enjoys combining commercial thinking with data-driven strategy - particularly within high-risk sectors.
The Role:You will manage the full customer lifecycle - from onboarding through to ongoing growth - ensuring merchants maximise value from the company’s payment solutions. Acting as the primary point of contact, you will build trusted relationships, provide performance insights, identify optimisation opportunities, and proactively mitigate churn risks.
Key Responsibilities:- Own and grow a portfolio of merchant accounts
- Build strategic, long-term relationships with key stakeholders
- Support onboarding and drive product adoption
- Deliver performance analysis and data-led recommendations
- Identify upsell and expansion opportunities
- Monitor account health, retention, NPS and CSAT metrics
- Collaborate closely with sales, onboarding, risk/compliance, finance, and support teams
- Resolve complex issues while maintaining strong merchant confidence
- Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within high-risk industries or iGaming is essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related fields
- Proven experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within Fin Tech or technology
- Strong understanding of merchant needs and value-driven relationship management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present insights
- Proficient in using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
