Distribution Planner (F/M)

Based in the Dubai office, this role will be instrumental in optimizing the distribution of our exquisite jewelry and timepieces across the Middle East region, ensuring product availability, and supporting the brand's luxury retail experience.

This is a central position within our Maison, offering significant exposure to numerous stakeholders both at headquarters and within the ME regional offices. In a highly dynamic and strategic business environment, the accuracy and quality of distribution represent a major strategic challenge for Chaumet in the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

Distribution Planning & Strategy

  • Develop and meticulously monitor comprehensive distribution plans for Chaumet's high jewellery, timepieces, and other collections, considering seasonality, available stock, and the specific market dynamics of the Middle East region.
  • Analyze distribution performance (e.g., Availability Rate, stock coverage), identify critical improvement areas, and propose effective corrective actions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure optimal and strategic stock allocation, particularly in scenarios of stock shortages or high-demand periods, to maximize sales potential.
  • Coordinate seasonal product launches and collection refreshes, striving for exceptionally high availability rates at launch dates to meet market demand and customer expectations.

Inventory Management & Optimization

  • Proactively monitor and manage stock levels across all points of sale in the Middle East, identifying potential risks of stock-outs or overstocking and implementing timely corrective measures.
  • Contribute to the continuous optimization of stock management parameters (e.g., Visual Merchandising minimums, anticipation of sales peaks, seasonal rebalancing strategies, product lifecycle management).

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Act as a key liaison, working closely with central supply chain teams, merchandising, visual merchandising, logistics, and customer service to ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain consistency and alignment with business objectives.

Reporting & Advanced Analysis

  • Prepare regular, detailed reports on distribution performance, stock levels, and the success of seasonal product launches, providing clear insights and recommendations.
  • Conduct in-depth ad hoc analyses to identify emerging trends, strategic opportunities, and areas for process improvement within the distribution network.
  • Propose and actively implement process improvements as part of continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing overall supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive working experience in a distribution planning, supply chain, or logistics role, with mandatory experience within a luxury retail or demanding retail environment.
  • Previous work experience in the jewelry industry is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with systems and data management tools such as Microsoft Excel, SAP, and advanced experience with reporting/BI tools:
    Power BI or Tableau.
  • Fluent in English in a professional context;
    Arabic is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong commercial acumen and awareness.
  • Highly reliable, rigorous, and adaptable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively influence various internal and external stakeholders across different levels.
