Overview
We are looking for a Marine Business Development Manager to lead commercial and operational aspects across the AMEA region, supporting port operations, offshore activities, and supply chains.
Location & EmploymentRemote – based in your country of residence with travel across AMEA as required.
Key Responsibilities- Secure marine opportunities and deliver safe, efficient, commercially sound operations.
- Translate customer requirements into robust proposals that balance competitiveness and long‑term operational integrity.
- Lead mobilisation, implementation of new contracts, transitions, and start‑ups.
- Provide marine and operational assurance during bids and start‑ups.
- Build relationships with customers, port authorities, partners, and regulators.
- Coordinate with regional and global teams across commercial, marine, safety, technical, finance, and people.
- Influence commercial ambition and operational reality to shape win quality and reduce delivery risk.
- University degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5–10 years in maritime, logistics, towage, offshore, or marine‑based industries with senior commercial or operational roles.
- Valid Tug Master / Master certifications and offshore or onboard vessel experience.
- Strong knowledge of marine regulations, vessel operations, and HSSEQ principles.
- Experience developing business cases, reviewing financial models, and supporting commercial negotiations.
- Strong stakeholder influence, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams under pressure.
- PMP certification or formal project management training.
- Experience in tendering, bidding, and contract negotiations.
- Experience in multi‑country marine operations or technical project delivery.
- Familiarity with OCIMF, IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISPS, and other maritime standards.
- Customer‑focused and commercially astute.
- Strong analytical thinking, sound financial and problem‑solving skills.
- Ownership, resilience, and effective decision‑making.
- Strategic planning, attention to detail, and follow‑through.
- Clear communication across all organisational levels.
- Collaborative across functions.
- Flexible and willing to travel across the region.
