The position of Receptionist Cum Admission Officer is a vital role within our organization, where you're the first point of contact for prospective students and their families. You will play a crucial role in administering the admission process, handling inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming environment for everyone. The successful candidate will be a friendly and organized professional, who can multitask effectively and has a passion for helping students transition smoothly into their educational journey.
This role encompasses both administrative responsibilities typical of a receptionist, paired with more specific duties related to student admissions, requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Greet and welcome prospective students and guests with a warm demeanor.
- Manage and respond to inquiries about admissions via phone, email, and in-person.
- Process application forms, including verification and data entry of applicants’ details.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments for admission interviews and tours.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student applications and admission status.
- Liaise with the admissions team to facilitate and streamline the admissions process.
- Assist in organizing and conducting admission information sessions and events.
- Provide support to applicants during the application process including troubleshooting issues.
- Manage front-desk operations, including taking messages and directing calls as necessary.
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and presents a welcoming environment.
- Contribute to developing strategies for enhancing student recruitment and retention.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve applicant queries and ensure satisfaction.
- Preferably a bachelor s degree or related qualification in administration or education.
- Previous experience in an administrative or receptionist role, preferably in education.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software preferred.
- Customer-service mindset with a problem-solving attitude and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the admissions process in an educational setting is an advantage.
