General Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced General Accountant to manage the day‑to‑day accounting operations of our real estate business in Dubai. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with UAE regulations, and support financial decision‑making through proper bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date accounting records in accordance with company policies and UAE financial regulations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor general ledger activities and ensure correct account postings.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

• Manage invoicing, collections, and payment processing.
• Monitor receivables from tenants, property buyers, and other stakeholders.
• Process vendor payments and maintain proper documentation.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts and balance sheet accounts.

• Record property sales transactions, commissions, and rental income.
• Track escrow accounts, deposits, and property‑related costs.
• Monitor service charge accounting and property management expenses.

• Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations including Federal Tax Authority requirements.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with UAE Value Added Tax regulations.
• Support internal and external audits.

• Maintain proper documentation for all accounting transactions.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and procedures.
• Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

• 3–5 years of accounting experience – Must have experience in the real estate sector in the UAE.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software such as Quick Books, SAP and ZOHO.
• Excellent attention to detail and fast learning abilities.

Must be available to join immediately, ideally with their own residency.
