Senior Accountant – Foodstuff Trading Company

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Foodstuff Trading Company in the UAE. The ideal candidate will handle end-to-end accounting operations, ensure compliance with UAE regulations, and support management with accurate financial reporting. Experience in trading or FMCG industries is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily accounting operations (AP, AR, General Ledger)
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
- Handle inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, and COGS
- Prepare and file UAE VAT returns and ensure VAT compliance
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Support internal and external audits
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and company policies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience
- UAE experience is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws
- Experience with accounting/ERP systems (Tally, Quick Books, SAP, or similar)
- Strong MS Excel and reporting skills
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience in Foodstuff Trading / FMCG sector
- Knowledge of inventory-heavy operations
- Professional certification (CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA) is a plus
