We are a fast-growing scent marketing company based in Dubai
, with diversified operations across service contracts, equipment rentals, direct sales, e-commerce, and consignment partnerships
. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our day-to-day finance operations and help maintain accurate, reliable financial records.
This role is ideal for someone with solid accounting fundamentals who is comfortable working across multiple revenue streams and is eager to grow within a dynamic SME environment.
Key Responsibilities Accounting & Bookkeeping- Record daily accounting transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, and receipts
- Maintain accurate books of accounts in line with UAE accounting practices
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and supporting schedules
- Prepare and manage invoicing across service contracts, direct sales, and e-commerce
- Record consignment sales and settlements
- Follow up on outstanding receivables and support collections
- Track deferred revenue and service income where applicable
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all customer invoices
- Perform regular bank reconciliations
- Reconcile payment gateways, POS transactions, and online payments, including fees, refunds, and chargebacks
- Record and reconcile Shopify sales, refunds, discounts, and gateway fees
- Match Shopify reports with accounting records
- Coordinate with logistics partners for order and delivery reconciliation
- Maintain inventory records for machines, fragrance oils, and consumables
- Track stock movements across direct sales, e-commerce, consignment, and distributor stock
- Reconcile physical inventory with system records
Assist with stock valuation and slow-moving inventory analysis - Track consignment inventory and sold quantities
- Process and record supplier invoices with complete supporting documentation (POs, GRNs, delivery notes)
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare payment schedules and ensure timely supplier payments
- Assist with VAT data preparation (input/output VAT)
- Maintain VAT documentation and records
- Support senior accountant during VAT filings and audits
- Assist in preparing management and internal reports
- Coordinate with operations, sales, and admin teams to gather financial data
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred)
- Basic knowledge of UAE VAT regulations
- Experience or exposure to:
- Inventory accounting
- Bank reconciliations
- E-commerce accounting (Shopify experience is a plus)
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience with accounting software (Zoho Books or similar systems)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable handling multiple revenue streams
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Willingness to learn business operations beyond accounting
- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Team player with a positive, proactive attitude
