Job Description

The Junior Accountant role is designed for a detail-oriented individual eager to expand their career in accounting. As a key member of the finance team, you will support various accounting activities across different departments. The role requires handling day-to-day accounting functions such as bookkeeping, reconciliation, and assisting with month-end closing processes. You will aid in maintaining accurate financial records and provide support in preparing financial reports for management.

The position is ideal for someone who is analytical, has excellent attention to detail, and is looking to grow their skills in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with senior accountants, providing an opportunity for mentorship and professional development. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of accounting principles and be comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements according to company policies and guidelines.
• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure all discrepancies are addressed promptly.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes for timely reporting.
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts with precise data entry.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax documents with accuracy.
• Aid in audits by providing financial documentation and compiling necessary data.
• Generate and analyze financial reports for discrepancies and assist in resolutions.
• Collaborate with departments to gather and verify financial data and transactions.
• Help monitor compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Support the finance team in special projects and tasks as needed.
• Provide administrative support by managing invoices, receipts, and financial correspondence.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to handle financial data accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot numerical errors quickly.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate within different departments.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines consistently.
