Accountant - Restaurant - Jumeirah

Overview

Miray Holdings is launching a new restaurant in Jumeirah 1, Dubai, and seeks an Accountant to oversee the financial operations of the new establishment, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations. The role includes managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and contributing to financial planning that drives the restaurant's success.

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the restaurant
• Monitor financial performance and provide insights to restaurant management
• Implement effective accounting processes and controls specific to restaurant operations
• Support year-end closing processes and liaise with auditors when required
• Prepare monthly reconciliation of financial accounts to ensure accuracy

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
• Previous experience as an accountant, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations applicable to the food service sector
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with management and staff
• A self-starter attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
