LVMH Beauty Middle East & Africa manages 9 different brands including Parfums Christian Dior, Make Up for Ever, Givenchy, Kenzo, Loewe, Acqua Di Parma, Guerlain, Maison Francis Kurkdjian and Benefit Cosmetics.

LVMH Beauty Middle East & Africa oversees an area of 52 countries and 53 airports in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and India with subsidiaries and agents’ structures.

YOUR MISSION ____________

The Accounting Manager will be welcomed among the Regional Accountant team for LVMH Beauty Middle East & Africa.

He/She will report to the Head of Accounting for LVMH Beauty MEA and will be responsible for Receivable, Intercompany Transactions, Retail operations reconciliation, Tax compliance and Reporting.

The Accounting Manager will be working closely with numerous business partners and key stakeholders and be responsible for the Payables, Receivables, Intercompany Reconciliations, Retail Reconciliation, Tax and Reporting. TL will also be performing analytical reviews and variance investigations as needed throughout the year, month-end reconciliations, maintaining accounting policies and procedures, and continuing the optimization of accounting and operational processes.

Support efficient and effective financial close processes in assigned areas through performance of journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis of financial results, partnering with the business divisions as necessary including the following:

Team Management

• Manage a team of 6 Accountants
• Maintain Job Description s and SOP.
• Give frequent feedback to each team member.
• Organize an annual training plan to maintain a high level of skills and expertise.

Accounting

• Perform month end closing for entities within scope.
• Ensure all accounting entries are completed to comply both with the chart of accounts and the analytical structure (Business Area, cost centers, etc.):
  • Receivables,
  • Payables,
  • Fixed assets and depreciation,
  • Inventory movements,
  • Payroll integration,
  • Cash movements,
  • Provisions and accruals,
  • Other G/L entries,
  • Equity transactions (dividends).
• Oversee payables and receivables for all entities
• Reviewing Payments, booking of invoices
• VAT compliance for all regions
• Responsible for accurate fixed asset accounting, including depreciation, impairment, and additions.
• Overviewing Retail reconciliation – Sales, Cash collection and refunds
• Continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness by identifying enhancements to processes and systems improvement opportunities, solutions, supervising accounting procedures and proposing automation opportunities

Closing & Reporting

• Ensure that transactions are recorded to issue yearly audited Financial Statements on time, complying with both local standards and IFRS.
• Preparation of monthly schedules
• Syrus reporting as per HQ guidelines
• Month End reports to include:
  • Reviewing Bank Reconciliation
  • Payable Ageing report, with DPO Calculation
  • Customer Ageing report, with DSO calculation
  • Inventory Variation report, with DOI calculation
  • Sub-ledger reconciliations
  • Retail sales and cash reconciliation

Audits & Financial Statements

• Ensure all schedules and balances are reconciled before commencement of audit
• Books are compliant with IFRS
• Coordinate the relationship with Auditors during their missions.
• To Liaise with respective region Tax Consultants before finalizing Financials
• Prepare standalone Financial Statements for entities across all regions and subsequently prepare consolidated financial statements
• Filing Financials on respective portals in UAE and Doha
• Support internal and external audit requests and inquiries by coordinating the completion and/or review of assigned audit support and identifying regulatory and operational changes to accounting policies and procedures.

Internal Control

• Internal Control compliance
• Organize the segregation of tasks to guarantee a good level of internal control.
• Coordinate and follow up with respective department to ensure Open Purchase Order, Sales Order, Transfer orders are closed on timely basis

Filing and Returns – Co-ordinating with all respective consultants across all regions and ensure timely & Accurate filing

• Filing Tax returns across all regions
• Filing VAT in UAE
• Filing WHT returns and Contract Reporting in Doha
• Filing Economic Survey where applicable

Overall Review

• To ensure timely submission of AUP Audits
