About the Role
- Lead and perform external audit of clients in the financial services sector, specifically banks and finance companies, following BDO audit methodology and ensuring qualitative documentation.
- Review financial statements of the allocated assignments in accordance with IFRS Accounting Standards.
- Overall project manage the audit engagement from inception to completion, including planning, execution of audit procedures and reporting on financial statements.
- Engage with client in a timely manner and ensure effective turnaround of audit deliverables.
- Identify and discuss audit & accounting issues promptly within the engagement team and with the client, proposing appropriate resolution.
- Prepare and communicate findings and recommendations to the client, and present results to Audit Committee/BOD/TCWG.
- Follow the evolution of the client’s needs, commercial focus and business objectives, propose relevant services and solutions to create value.
- Provide exceptional client service by understanding client requirements in detail and ensuring timely delivery.
- Ensure continuous professional development by staying updated on local regulations, IFRS changes and audit methodology, proactively communicating changes to clients.
Qualifications &
Experience:
- 3 to 6 years of experience in auditing Banks or finance companies, preferably with a Big6 firm.
- Must be CA/ ACCA or equivalent qualified.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards, especially IFRS 9 & IFRS 15.
- Fluent in English (Reading, Speaking and Writing).
