The manager is responsible for the programs, services and operations of the Biller Patient and Family Resource Center, the Positive Image Center, and the Patient Resources Program. The manager works closely with Department of Supportive Care Medicine teams, City of Hope's Patient and Family Advisory councils (PFAC, El Concilio, and potentially others) and additional collaborators to continually enhance, expand, evaluate, and market the Biller Resource Center programs and services.
The Biller Resource Center Manager has an instrumental role in the development of the Integrative Medicine Program. Leadership in cross‑departmental collaborations and relationship building across the Enterprise are vital aspects of this role. Relationship‑building with Philanthropy, donors and relevant community and religious organizations are important responsibilities of this position. The manager will implement systems, processes, and procedures to improve services, operations, and efficiency as well as respond to changes within the Institution and changes in the external environment.
The Biller Resource Center Manager manages departmental personnel, including hiring and onboarding, supervision, mentorship, and performance evaluations, with a focus on high performance teams and engagement.
Develops and Manages Patient/Caregiver Programs and Services
- Develop and manage the programs and services offered by the Biller Resource Center, Positive Image, the Patient Resources Program and Spiritual Care Services to ensure that they are continually enhanced. Partners with City of Hope's Patient and Family Advisory Councils (the PFAC, El Concilio and potentially other councils) and Patient, Family and Community Education on program development. Develop short and long‑range plans for programs and services in collaboration with the director and other Supportive Care leaders.
Define, implement, and report outcome metrics for Biller Resource Center programs and services. - Collaborate with the Administrative Program Coordinator, the Patient and Family Advisory Councils and others to plan and execute marketing strategies.
- Manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Biller Resource Center, Positive Image Center and the Patient Resources Program. Plan and implement systems, processes, and procedures to increase efficiencies, reduce costs, enhance patient experience and ensure regulatory compliance. Determine capital needs related to technology, furniture and space improvements and oversee execution of capital projects. Collaborate with Facilities Planning on construction and renovation projects.
Management
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new employees. Supervise, coach and mentor staff and conduct performance evaluations, with a focus on high performance teams and engagement.
- Lead other Supportive Care Medicine projects and initiatives, contributing department-wide leadership and fostering intra‑departmental collaboration. Meet with Philanthropy and donors. Build relationships across the enterprise and with community‑based organizations to foster integration, maximize use of programs and services, innovate, and ensure efficient delivery of services.
- Bachelor's Degree (Required).
- 1‑year management/supervisory experience.
- 5 years of related experience in coordinating patient‑care related programs.
