Position Summary

We are seeking a Surgical Technologist II. In this role, you'll be responsible for technical tasks to assist surgical and/or endoscopic procedures, including maintaining supplies, cleaning and decontaminating equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulations and survey readiness. This full-time position involves 10-hour day shifts (starting at 10:45 am), four shifts per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons during operative/invasive procedures, ensuring necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment are prepared and available.
  • Maintain sterile techniques and monitor situations for potential breaches.
  • Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings.
  • Serve as a clinical mentor; assist with equipment and supply maintenance.
  • Maintain and enhance clinical competence to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.
  • Qualifications
    • Post-high school vocational or specialized training; experience may substitute for education.
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in scrubbing major and/or endoscopic cases in a hospital setting.
    • Current CST (Surgical/Endoscopic Technologist Certification) from an accredited organization or participation in a UBC/Work Group with annual in-service.
    • BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
    • Surgical/Endoscopic Technologist Certification preferred.
