Nursery Assistant

THE EMPLOYER IS: BELLA BAMBINOSAs a Nursery Assistant, you will be caring for children between 0-12 years old, you will be tasked with ensuring the children are cared for in a happy, safe and loving environment. This role will include setting up play opportunities, changing nappies, maintaining hygiene standards and feeding or assisting with feeding the children, depending on their age.

On the job training will be provided to successful candidates including:
Child Protection, First Aid, Food Safety, Complaints and Manual Handling. The successful candidate will require vetting prior to starting, which may take 2 to 4 weeks to complete.

• Caring for children aged between 0-12 years old.
• Setting up play opportunities.
• Maintaining hygiene standards.
• Feeding babies, or assisting with feeding the toddlers and older children. This will include preparing meals and snacks.
• Changing nappies around every 2-3 hours, as well as when necessary.
• Adhering to policies and procedures.
• Communicating with parents at drop-off and collection time.
• Carry out activity planning in line with the curriculum.
• Maintaining confidentiality and health and safety policies.

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• A genuine love for children.
• Enthusiasm and patience.
• A good ability to use your own initiative.
• Previous experience caring for children.
• A level 2 or level 3 in Childcare.
