Temp Accounts Assistant

A well-established business based in Driffield is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on and detail‑oriented finance professional to support a busy accounts function during a period of increased workload. Offering a salary of up to £30,000, this role would suit someone with strong purchase ledger experience who can hit the ground running.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Purchase Ledger Clerk will:

• Manage the purchase ledger process from start to finish, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Match, batch and code invoices, resolving any discrepancies efficiently.
• Handle supplier queries and maintain strong working relationships.
• Assist with payment runs and supplier statement reconciliations.
• Support month‑end processes related to the purchase ledger.
• Provide general support to the wider finance team as required.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role.
• Be confident working independently and managing their own workload.
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Be immediately available or available at short notice.
• Be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
