Accounts Assistant

A well-established and growing business based in Driffield is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. Offering a competitive salary of up to £30,000, this role would suit someone with strong transactional finance experience who is looking to take ownership of their responsibilities within a busy accounts function.

• Manage the purchase ledger process end‑to‑end, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and authorised in a timely manner.
• Assist with sales ledger duties including raising invoices and chasing outstanding payments.
• Carry out supplier and customer statement reconciliations.
• Support payment runs and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with month‑end processes and provide support with reporting where required.
• Handle finance queries from internal departments and external stakeholders professionally.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to the wider finance team as needed.

• Have previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar transactional finance role.
• Demonstrate strong purchase ledger knowledge with good attention to detail.
• Be organised and capable of managing their own workload.
• Have strong communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
• Be confident using accounting systems and Excel.
• Be keen to develop and grow within a stable business environment.
